This pig has one cup and several discs. It was originally designed to follow a lead pig during coating operations, trapping a chemical slug between the two pigs while leaving a thin film of chemical on the pipe wall. Other designs may be better suited to applications requiring maximum sealing. It is also used for moderate cleaning and, like all solid-cast urethane pigs, offers a very long service life.
