Oil and Gas Pigging Applications
Pre-commissioning and construction cleanup
Remove dirt, rust, mill scale and weld debris before a new line goes into service.
Hydrostatic testing
Fill and dewater lines with disc displacement pigs and foam pigs.
Gauging
Gauging plates sized to 90-95% of pipe ID prove roundness, find excessive weld penetration and confirm bend radius before an intelligent pig run.
Paraffin and wax removal
Steel pigs with plow or rib blades, brush pigs and wire-brush foam pigs scrape soft and hard deposits from the pipe wall.
Liquids removal and drying
Sweep water, condensate and hydrocarbon liquids from gas lines, and dry lines after hydrotesting with low-density foam.
Batching and product separation
Separate products in the same line and reduce interface mixing.
On-stream maintenance cleaning
Keep lines at full capacity with routine pigging programs.
