Different Chemicals Need Different Pigs
A foam pig that performs well in crude oil can disintegrate in propane. Chemical compatibility is the first thing we confirm before recommending a pig. We look at your product, temperature and operating conditions, then choose from foam, urethane or elastomer that will hold up long-term.
Our standard polyurethane components are poured to 80 Shore A. For harsher service, we offer other durometers plus neoprene, EPDM, Buna-N, Hypalon and Viton for high temperatures, low temperatures and aggressive chemicals. Our chemical supplier, BASF, tests our materials throughout the year and helps us validate new products. If a product ever has an issue, we have testing support to find out why.
