Total Wirebrush Foam Pig
Total wire pigs are among the most aggressive cleaning pigs. They are usually made from heavy-density foam and are completely covered with brush straps. They can also withstand extremely long runs; some have reportedly traveled as far as 600 km. They are used to remove rust, calcium deposits, and other obstructions. In hydrostatic operations, they can remove rust and deposits from the pipe wall that may trap moisture and prevent operators from achieving the required negative dew point. These pigs can scrape a pipeline down to bare steel, which may produce “red water” when water lines reoxidize. Brushes of all types can be added, including plastic, carbon steel light wire or heavy wire, stainless steel, razor wire, brass wire, and others. Custom models are available.
Models
TW (total wire), TWP (total wire plastic)
Options
Gauging plate, jetting holes, transmitter cavity, magnets, rope, bidirectional, pull pig assembly
