Foam Disc Pig
The foam disc pig, sometimes called a sandwich or pancake pig, is available in medium and heavy densities. It is a relatively recent foam pig design that has gained widespread use for cleaning, filling, and dewatering during hydrostatic operations. Heavy density is preferred for filling and dewatering. Its ribbed design helps maintain a seal as the pig flexes around bends, welds, and other obstacles, making it well suited for moving water slugs. The ribs also trap wax and debris, making these pigs effective for debris recovery. These pigs also accommodate small diameter changes. Their collapsible ribs provide greater flexibility than standard cleaning pigs without sacrificing performance. If you use foam pigs but have yet to try an FDP model, we highly recommend them. Custom models are available in all shapes and sizes.
Models
FDP5 (medium density), FDP8 (heavy density)
Options
Bare (no coating), pulling rope or cable, transmitter cavity, magnets, custom lengths
