| Items manufactured by Pigs Unlimited, Inc.
are available Exworks (our plant). This means that customer is responsible
for all shipping-related charges from our facility to the ultimate destination.
As a standard, goods are packed for airfreight. This may include, (depending
on the size, style and quantity of items), cardboard boxes, palletizing,
and/or shrink-wrapped in a heavy-mil ultraviolet-resistant black plastic
(as with foam pigs in sizes 16” and larger). Pigs Unlimited, Inc.
is capable of containerizing, crating, and other means of packaging, but
this will be at additional cost to customer, where applicable.
Pigs Unlimited, Inc. has arrangements with several shipping companies,
including air, ocean, LTL (less than load) trucking, dedicated load trucking,
and local delivery companies, in order to offer the best service and price
available. If requested by the customer, we are more than willing to offer
freight quotations for best service routing and most economical pricing.
However, all shipping instructions are the responsibility of the customer
– even if Pigs Unlimited, Inc. makes recommendations.
If freight is to be “prepaid and add”, freight will be billed
at actual cost to Pigs Unlimited, Inc. Customer is responsible for all
charges regardless if freight quotation was offered and differs from actual
cost. Many freight companies base quotations on actual weight of shipment,
however, will invoice based on dimensional weight. This can equate to
a substantial change in price. We do everything within our means to package
airfreight shipments as compact as possible, in order to minimize this
effect.
Customer assumes all responsibility for goods at time of shipping, which
is when the freight company collects shipment. Pigs Unlimited, Inc. is
not responsible for lost or damaged goods. We will aid customer in making
claim with the freight company and receiving refund, but customer is still
responsible for cost of goods. |
