Pigging Formulas

Following are some commonly used formulas associated with using pigs. The formulas are interactive and allow you to input specific data according to your application. When the answers are calculated, all pertinent information is displayed. Each formula is individually explained for what is being calculated as well as for applications associated with the formula.

We have included these formulas because we want our customers to understand and be comfortable in using our pigs. If for any reason, any of the information (calculations, required data, application, etc.) within these formulas is not completely understood, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we may discuss in further detail.

  3. Volume needed for pigging, in Standard Cubic Feet per minute (scfm)

  4. Head in Feet

  5. Head in Pounds per Square Inch (psi)

  6. Gallons per Minute (gpm)

  7. Time of Pig Run

  8. Cubic Feet Required to Fill Pipeline

  9. Total Amount of Buildup (Concentric) in Pipeline

  10. Total Amount of Buildup (Bottom Layer) in Pipeline
